I am an editor and journalist with almost two decades of experience working for newspapers and magazines. I have recently been working at The Telegraph, The Bookseller, Inside Housing and Housing Today.

I spent seven years in-house at The Independent, firstly as a news and features writer, before going on to become digital editor for arts and culture. I was in charge of commissioning, editing and organising coverage for major arts events, from blockbuster book launches and the Turner Prize to Glastonbury festival.

Since going freelance in late 2015, I have written or edited for most of the national newspapers and websites, including the Evening Standard, the i newspaper, The Times, Telegraph, Mail and Guardian.

For five years, I was editor of Popshot Quarterly, an illustrated literary magazine published by the Chelsea Magazine Company. I was managing editor at BBC Earth magazine, Finds editor at HuffPost UK and have worked regularly for Assemble Media.

Sometimes I write or edit content for businesses or agencies, including Google, Zoopla, NatWest, and M&C Saatchi.

In my spare time I write novels, having won the Lucy Cavendish Prize for Fiction 2024. I also take commissions from publishers to ghostwrite memoir and non-fiction books, as well as offer editorial feedback or developmental edits on novels and non-fiction from individual authors who might be unsure if their books are read to query.
